We had a great morning down on site yesterday with St Mary's P6/7 class. Their topic this term is World War 1 as it is the 100th anniversary of it starting. We therefore planted some Flanders Poppies that had been donated to us and looked at why we use the poppy as our flower of remembrance.
We also did a woodland walk looking at the tadpoles and other sites within the woodland. As they were missing their physical activity time in school they did an outdoor gym activity and they had great fun finding and learning about mini beasts. brilliant.
Thank you P6/7 we really enjoyed having you.
