About the Community Garden
Polbeth and West Calder Community Garden SCIO is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation.
Directions Garden for Life, Parkhead Farm, Limefield Road, West Calder, EH55 8BQ. You can find directions to the garden at Google Maps. Our Story On 28th February 2013 we became a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation. In June 2013 we signed a 5-year lease with West Lothian Council to take on the former Polbeth Market Garden site. We now have a 25 year lease and additional land on the other side of the new West Calder High School road. We have transformed the derelict site into a thriving garden and visitor attraction hosting the first official Scottish Stick Man trail. We use volunteer and visitor feedback to inform the projects that we do, which allows them to shape the garden to work better with the community. You can find out more by visiting Polbeth and West Calder Community Garden SCIO on Facebook. |
